He’s willing to send her far away from him and pay for it if it means keeping her safe and giving her what she wants( no vampires in her life) With Bill there are always strings attached. His latest offer of protection means he gets her blood in exchange. This offer comes from none other than the “old lovable” Bill.

lmao at what I just read about TB/Buckner/Ball.

Apparently TB has always been about “Bill’s journey” (per Ball) and there will be no deviation from that in S7 (per Buckner). Color me surprised, but I always thought it was about a telepathic waitress…

And per this person, if she understood correctly, Alex and Kristin will only be in as many episodes as they were in S1.

Anyone else up for catching the Eric & Pammy show on youtube next season?

I just don’t understand neither the business nor the creative model that involves

  • Ignoring the most popular and critically acclaimed part of your franchise (not slighting the other actors, but by any criteria, ASkars was the most notorious and liked part of the show)
  • Focusing excessive attention on the parts that have middling to low popularity to the point of actively pissing off your fanbase
  • Taking a story that, even though it was a fucking tire fire, was about a woman, and making it about the man that abuses her, and saying shit like the woman he abused has to learn to trust him again
  • Generally writing and characterizing that man to be as unlikable as it is possible to be, and not unlikable in ‘We Love To Hate Him’ way, just in the irritating office mate way
  • No, for real, if the whole show was supposed to be about Bill’s journey, and he was the protagonist, they made NO effort in getting the audience to like him (you can have a villain protagonist, but the audience at least has to like him a little)
  • Not even having a plot/arc that makes any kind of sense or has any cohesion in order to even try to justify any the preceding points (they sort of had one through season three, but after that, it was just a series of barely connected events and random decisions and uneven characterization, because no matter how much you may have liked seeing Sookie and Eric boinking each others brains out, that witch storyline made no fucking sense as presented)

I don’t…I don’t understand the plan here. It’s like opening a sandwich shop, advertising some awesome jerk chicken sandwiches, and then only offering it on the night of the waning Gibbous Moon in odd numbered months and only if it’s not raining in whatever part of the world you happen to hit with a dart, and instead you serve only cold beet soup and mayonnaise and maybe sometimes some pickles you gotta fish out of a jar with your bare hands with any degree of regularity. And you refuse to listen to customer suggestions, telling them they have to learn to love mayo-and-beets.

VolsMBA: Let's tell HBO what we want for the final season of True Blood!

Fellow Trubies,

We have one week until the TB writers return to get started on the last season. It would be a shame for season 7 to continue in the same arc as season 6 and leave us with a terrible ending for this show we love. It’s not too…

But is should be respectful. :)

SNIP
I will probably end up buying season 6 because it was a good season until that stupid finale, but if season 7 goes in the direction Brian Buckner keeps say, I don’t think I can stick around for a Sookie and Bill reunion, in light of everything he’s done to her, which means I’ll probably end up saving my money on season 7.  Very sad considering I would like to have the whole series, but the same thing happened with the books. Have all the books except that last one and will not be spending my hard earned cash on that other publication she has coming out. Any long-term marketing sales HBO may have been counting on is going to suffer, I imagine. Who wants to invest in a story when the ending is so horrific with the heroine going to back to her abuser, or to stay with the wolf who expects her to the be little woman and do as he says.  How many of us don’t already hear from casual watchers what an idiot Sookie is. :) HBO and TB are going to ignore the one relationship that empowered her to be more. It’s the same relationship that made Eric be more…sincerely more, quietly more, with no grand proclamations, no giant crocodile tears, with no lies or manipulations.

♡ Seriously, True Blood can end with this ending. I could care less for season 7. I just love this scene and this very special line he says to her…
